JJ Martin says:

Like with the previous 14A4a, the original early 1970’s runs of the 13A4a are vastly supieror to what is now made. Originally, the 13A4a had a VERY steep and well pronounced undercut on it with a combination of a shallow and semi-shallow V cup. When it was introduced in 1971, it hit the market like wildfire as it was, in a sense, the first well made and mass produced “lead piece” that wasn’t either too small or too big. It was made in 1970 for Mike Vax when he was playing lead on Kenton’s band and also used by John Harner and T. Don Capron.
