Review: King Liberty Trumpet, Vintage horn from 1936

One of the finest trumpets ever made; a King Liberty from 1936. With the two piece tuning slide that will enable the trumpet to play in the key of A, this trumpet is in great shape and is a very nice player! I do hope you enjoy the vid! Continued best wishes, Jonathan

Hi, a few minutes ago I bought a 1939 King Liberty trumpet off of eBay, same tuning slide design, mainly based on your steller review. And I agree; it is one of the best, if not THE best, trumpets ever made in the 1900s. Period. I played a 1960 King Liberty all through jr. and sr. high school. Fond memeries of the marching band! Looking forward to playing it! “On Wisconsin!”

I just inherited my grandfathers King Liberty 1936 with case. Im trying to decide if its worth restoring or not. Can anyone tell me how much they are worth before and after the redo? It is in pretty nice shape, just dirty, one finger button is a bit sticky. 2 small dents near the bell. It looks brass but I don’t know if it can be gold plated is that right? It has 2 orig king silver mouthpieces and some other metal items in the king case. I may try to learn to play it but I have no music experience at all. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
