The monologue is KORG latest analog monophonic Synthesizer. After more than 6 months of testing, it’s now time for my final review. I give you an overview of the oscillators, filter, envelopes, LFO, step sequencer, motion sequencer and more. In short: the monologue is not just a monophonic version of the Minilogue but a independent instrument with a very own sound character.

The frequencies of this synth hurt my ears. Its sounds terribly tiny and fatique

Dan James says:

dude i like your reviews and channel, but you need to work on your playing at least play a simple rhythmic riff or a scale or a repeating ostinato

Excellent review. Thanks very much 🙂

Valdis Krebs says:

Excellent review!  It pays to know the instrument before you review it.  I liked the first part where you are explaining features and coming up with some sick(i.e. great) sounds as you twist the knobs showing how everything works… very nice.  Leave the “walking thru presets” to the amateur reviewers.  😉

David Johnson says:

Thanks for this very long and good review 🙂

Payt Laros says:

I like the synth and the sounds you take us through, but your playing is beyond irritating.. lol.. it sounds just like my 4 year old nephew who has no musical skills whatsoever.

Perry Pelican says:

Please tell me why you wanted a monophonic instead of poly. I dont even get the point of hardware synths instead of softsynths. Is it worth so much more money to have so much less. Does this sound better than the soft versions with a controllers?
