… but the answer is no.

Victor Best says:

Many thanks Jake. I have just bought a Yamaha 280 in silver plate and was wondering if I really should have bought a more professional model but after watching your great video I feel satisfied that this 280 is as good as I need to go. Thanks once again.

Tony DiGennaro says:

Nice review bud. I was watching another one of your vids and thought wow he looks familiar. Then noticed all the DMB stuff hanging on your wall and it hit me. I saw you at the Hard Rock Pittsburgh in March for the DMB tribute band. I am also a sax player. Are you from Pittsburgh?

Chuck Washington says:

This is a great eye opener for everyone beginner to long time veteran. I’ve played woodwinds instruments for 60 years, clarinets, flutes, and saxes. I also studied business in college and ran my own business for 20 years. What you are exposing are “Branding” or “product differentiation” issues between well made products. It is akin to choosing which brand of cane sugar on the grocer’s shelf is better, and that is usually very hard to tell. Every musician should develop a strong relationship with his technician for advice and service on the issues of build quality, availability of repair parts, ease of repair and adjustments, and durability. Thank you for your service.
