Тихон Нестеренко says:

Hey, EposVox! Can you recommend good headphones with a microphone, the sound of which will be of high quality both in games and when listening to music up to $ 160? I’ll buy to them Asus Xonar DGX.

Trooper Garry says:

so out of all the mics you have used witch one should I BUY?

jon davey says:

sounds like a lot of popping going on. Did it make a difference with the BIG windshield?

TheFriendlyBroski says:

The DBX 286s and the Scarlett Solo (2nd Gen) is what I use in my most recent videos. Works great but at first I didn’t really like it and was actually thinking about returning it to keep my SM58.
Took a little while to get use to.

robcaster says:

I bought it some time ago for the same intention of it being able to feed my low voice. So far i love it. I got the cloud lifter too and the sound on it sounds good. Just when it comes to streaming it sounds very quiet

Troy Groff says:

You naturally do have a low voice though!

Red Con One Media says:

WOw my pro caster sounds better on my dbx 286s than this one does.

ThatGuyConn says:

Ghost spotted at 0:42!! The mic turned itself

Mr. GHOST says:

What is your audio mixer

mr.impulse says:

hi, im looking to get the mic with a mg10xu as my audio setup but i have 1 problem. i have a air conditioner about 3 and a half feet behind me and i have pc fans going, how is this mic for noise canceling?

HiddenCale says:

Woah! Sounds Cool!

Dave B. says:

As others have already mentioned, you need a Cloudlifter with the Shure SM7b and with the EV RE20.
The Cloudlifter is NOT a preamp but it allows your preamp to work better.
It is a “must-have” for certain dynamic and ribbon mics.
Get one and you won’t need to crank your mic preamp.

Logan says:

Two words: Cloud lifter

Andy says:

Thing is, the SM7 is really great for studio and musical applications and is very versatile. The RE20 is more of a dedicated broadcast solution. I’d say if you’re a studio owner, the SM7B is really the way to go as you can use it on a variety of sources. The RE20 is likely the better bet if you’re just doing voiceovers and broadcast. The RE20 is not shielded, whereas the SM7 is. The SM7 is also ULTRA quiet, however needs at LEAST 30db of clean gain to operate effectively. Your normal Focusrite 2i2 or whatever is not going to be enough without influencing the sound with it’s own noisefloor. For most people without outboard pre’s, this means an additional purchase of the cloudlifter or other solution to boost the gain to the mic, adding another 100 or so dollars. That brings the price up to around 600 retail, so take that into account as well.

GP Patrol says:

make review of Samson MBA38 pls

TheMaikiller says:

I’ll be honest, I started using the Shure SM7B 3 years ago and for me. There is *No other microphone that I want after using* *this one for a while!* The only thing that you mentioned and is a 100% true. is that you do need a lot of gain. So when you’ve got money to spend and decide to get this Microphone. Please, buy a cloudlifter to go with it! It will change your entire SM7B experience. I didn’t have one for at least 1,5 years and I regret not buying one sooner!

Krishna Das says:

YOU BORROWED FROM BOOTHJUNKIE???

Say's Grooves says:

I am currently  using a Mackie ProFX8v2 with an MXL 770 Condenser mic for internet  broadcasting and recording. I want to get the Shure SM7B. Would I still need a pre amp for the mic?

Aaron Putnam says:

I’ve been looking for a better preamp/interface for my SM7B and was considering the DBX 286s. However, after listening to this video I’m almost convinced the Sound Devices MixPre 3 is the way to go. Props to Booth Junkie for sending over the mic and props to you for pairing it with MixPre 3. Sounds sweet!

Seffer says:

“What’s going on booth junkies? Mike Delgaudio here, back with another video on home studio setup for voice over.”

Gabriel De Guzman says:

Sm7b is not a Dynamic Mic

Stastro says:

I <3 my SM7B. It's been worth every penny. I had to get the CL1 though.

Eyad Isa says:

Thumbs up

Martin S. says:

I’ve been watching both your’s and MIke Delguardio’s videos on this mic and it’s definitely on my list of things to get.

BBKDRAGOON says:

Great video, I love this Mic!

Crivoh says:

Are you or have you try the shotgun mic senheiser 416

Devon says:

“Podcast sound” *USES RADIO VOICE* Heh

Larco says:

Kind of wish you would of done a side-by-side comparison with the RE20 to compare noise floor, keyboard noise, rejection, handling noise, etc. Me personally I am using the Beyerdynamic M99 and I love the sound of it, even better when paired with processing. Possible review?

GeorgeHenryGH says:

why do you only have 500 likes lol

DVZN Media says:

Booth Junkie is one of my favorite channels

Antoine Bandele says:

Your noise floor is non-existent! What audio interface are you using? I have to Scarlett Solo and it is soooo noisy.

Monster Joe Show says:

I love the sure sm7b it sounds dam good with good settings on the dbx 286s you can also pulg a fethead in to the back of the dbx so you dont have to turn the dbx up so much. I sit any where from 3 to 5 inches from the mic keeping it below my mouth keeping it just out of camera view and still get great sound.

majnu100 says:

What doyou mean by Podcast and Radio sound?

Ryan Ellis says:

I cannot hear you.

BIGWORM380 Gaming says:

Damn Epos! didn’t realize you did a review on this mic. I have this same mic and the DBX286s for my youtube channel and i would recommend it to everyone. It’s pricey no doubt, but if you want really good sound without background noise, this is the way to go. Good review dude!

Ken says:

You should review the SM57 and SM58 too. 🙂

jerry kurata says:

You sounded best on flat. Also did you try it with a cloudlifter and 286s

Trollfest23 says:

I hope you are not drinking that orange soda. It has too much sugar.

And yeah… great video btw.
