Hey Jake, is there a “Barbecue For Dummies” book? I need to understand mustard-based barbecue, maybe even vinegar-based. Keep on harpin’.

Geri Patterson says:

Thank you Jake. I’m enjoying all of your harmonica videos, which is better than a book. Thank God for the internet. I’m a beginner and finding your instructions so easy to follow. Looking forward to your up coming cool stuff. I’d like to know more about amplification.

Thanks for the recommendation Jake!

Ahmed Alshamy says:

I love your videos and I just bought a harmonica and started learning because of you

chavitoracing says:

Hi Jake, I will order that book since I’m a beginner, I have a hohner special 20 on key of C. I love the sound of the blues on harmonica and I really want to learn but I know absolutely zero about it. I am determined on getting good, besides this book what other book you recommend and what blues book as well?? I have no money to go to any school so I will have to learn from books or online. how’s the Blues harmonica for Dummies?? any info or tips will help, thanks

Dwight Jones says:

This book is useful wherever you are in your learning and will take you as far as you want to go. I’m working my way through the book even though I’m more interested in chromatic. Learning diatonic will be cool even if that wasn’t my original goal. I hope Winslow writes a chromatic book as well.

Eric M. says:

You know that there’s a specific “Blues Harmonica For Dummies”?

Steve Scott says:

good review.

Doug Ward says:

Thanks Jake! I bought this book on your advice and love it. I wish I had bought it when I first started. It took me two weeks to pucker up tight enough to play a single note only to find out it isn’t necessary if you use his method. In less than 5 minutes I was blowing crispy clear single notes. This book along with all of the online content is like one those courses you’d pay $200 for and it’s only $17 at Amazon. Keep up the good work.

Patty Hays says:

I thought about getting this book until I found out it has 394 pages!

kingnish says:

You can’t go wrong with Winslow Yerxa. 2nd edition is really cool compared to first one! They even provide bunch of audios and videos as support material. A/V is free and available online on dummies website.

Lap board says:

Thank you, Sir Jake!! You have terrific videos that are not arrogant.

Da Bolaños says:

Hey man, what’s the difference between “harmonica for dummies” and “blues harmonica for dummies”?
And which other books do you recommend?

jlarrymore says:

if your mainly into blues would you still recommend this over blues harmonica for dummies?
