In depth review of Fender harmonica compared to a Special 20
Author: Ricky Mullins
Hehe… I’m watching your review again. Yeah, I like the tone of this model of Fender better than my Golden Melody and SP20. It feels better too. These two Hohners have what I call a death rattle tone. It’s too harsh for me. I like a mellower tone. These Hohners, to me anyway, can only be played loud whereas, to me, the Fender can be played softly and the reeds get excited with very little air. I’ll never play on a stage so maybe that’s okay for me. Thanks for replying to my last comments. Nothing against those two Hohners at all!
I absolutely LOVE my Fender Blues-Deluxe key of A. I have several Special 20s and several Golden Melodys. My Fender is my go-to harp. I think it’s a matter of preference and taste is up to the individual. I actually own several back-ups of the Fender. It’s hard to believe I like the cheaper Fender to the harp that costs 4x as much. Great review though.
don’t buy these fender harmonicas thier junk the reeds are brittle and snap off and fender won’t get back to you hohner special 20s are awesome.
