thankyou for this demo, please could you tell me what blues riff that was? thanks again. i love my donner pedals.

RequiemDead says:

TTK put the distorted based effects in front because you can drive a clean channel, distortion channel, or an additional distortion pedal. The time based effects (delay, chorus, flanger) was in the effects loop because they generally sound better when the original guitar signal is before distortion either from the amp or pedals.

krelbar says:

TTK had some effects in the loop, and in front of the amp. Why is that?

Because pedals that display gain work better in front of the amp. Effects are added in the loop because you want to effect a distorted signal, not distort an effected signal.

Jack's Film Orchard says:

I really want to get these 🙂 they sound awesome! 25-35 bucks isn’t bad at all..oh and there is a brand of pedals called aroma pedals look em up on amazon! I really want an unbiased review of them I like your reviews man!

Luis Pava says:

The time based effects flanger, chorus, delay , gear sampled and effecting your signal pedals that work really well in the effects loop.

HUTCHfromBA says:

I’m getting a healthy respect for Donner pedals. Blues On….

Levi Longacre says:

8:45 whole lotta love

Guitar Demo Vlogs says:

Wow look at all those amp heads! How much money did all of that cost lol

DMSProduktions says:

I love Donner: Donner kebab, falafel kebab, shish…

LOL!

Nice TK.

Very similar to Mooers.
Mooer jacked price up! Now retail @ $109 ea!

As to these pedals, the mods/delay, really nice, usable.

The O/D’s Distortions, pretty hit’n’miss!

The Blues drive, good, pretty much TSish. Works!
The Distortion? Blech! Tinny and shrill.
The Metal pedal? Same, tinny, and muddy, more fuzz like, over compressed.
The Fuzz, VERY good! Les fuzz like than the Giant Metal. FAT!
Liked it a lot! (And I am NOT a fuzz fan! (Of ANY kind of fuzz ;oP ))

GOOD demo TK!

José Pérez says:

I really like when the “cheap” pedals sounds like the real deal. Thanks for this review and there is an other rule to follow in terms of budget or sound quality in pedals effects: not always expensive pedal are “good” for recording or jam with friends at the garage, those Donners looks like practical for hangout and jam, just few knobs settings.

TantricConvulsions says:

effects that add gain work well in the front, versus time based and phase shift style pedals, which work well in the effects loop.

puppyy780 says:

I just discovered these pedals today and I didn’t think, for the money, such amazing sounds could be created. Every single pedal sounded amazing. I will soon be collecting them all! lol

cast390 says:

They should have named that metal pedal,The Angry Bees Metal Pedal….

Underground Atheist says:

Fuzz sounds good.

Kurgle Kreutzer says:

They really sounded good. That red distortion was downright impressive and I’m sure the metal one could be tamed by less gain and driving it with an overdrive pedal, I think it would yield an instant Dimebag Darrell tone. The delay, chorus and flanger pedals were top notch too. The flanger was crystal clear and who knows, if they already have impulse responses in their pedals! That would mean you could have $ 1,000,000 worth of gear sampled and effecting your signal through that tiny pedal! That would be scary indeed. But anyway this was a nice video so thanks!

Purple Haze says:

hey TTK Great as always … but “Do be sure…” That’s very English…

Flipside Music says:

Great stuff man!

Doctor McFarland Studios says:

The fuzz sounds better than the metal pedal. Good review.

Bill Ryan says:

Great demo !
TTK had some effects in the loop, and in front of the amp. Why is that?
Pedals that display gain work better in front of the amp. Effects are added in the loop because distortion sounds better after the amp.

bremnet says:

Pedals like overdrive’s,distortions & fuzz’s are placed in front to push the amp and other pedals then & the effects in the loop after the amp so you effect the un-effected guitar signal.

Josh Kozee says:

I think a lot of brands get the metal pedals wrong. but thats just me. if you like it cheers. great vid

eb28rocker4 says:

TTK put the overdrive, distortion, heavy metal and fuzz looped with a Voodoo Lab Pedal switcher in front of the amp, so he can use one pedal at a time and cut the other drive pedals out of the single completely. He does not want them on at the same time. Or possibly the overdrive can drive the distortion, also the overdrive can boost the distortion channel of the amp it the clean tone of a amp.

He will put the delay , chorus and flanger in the effects loop. The delay first because he wants to delay the ineffective guitar signal. The chorus and flanger next. You tip usually do not use them both at the same time.

Dan D says:

I’d never use chorus or flanger in an amps fx loop. Same with a phase 90. Ymmv

Andy Gross says:

Subscribed.

luis robello says:

Have to try these out great review

nootnoot says:
