BOSS OD-3 OverDrive Pedal

BOSS OD-3 Overdrive Pedal

This is a great Overdrive pedal I picked up for $60.00 at an Australian Pawn Shop.

I like your reviews, because you use the same amp and guitar as me. But you seem to be orientation confused 😉

Thrano says:

I use this OD pedal for my p bass and it’s bloody awesome. Also sturdy as all hell, mine fell from a third story window at one point and still works with no problems whatsoever three years later.

Sounds amazing

葛飾 北斎 says:

loved it! i had this and a blues driver in my DRRI as well few years back, the part that i loved the most about those pedals is the face your snob buddies make when they brag about their boutique amps and boutique pedals that cost more than my car, and then you play a few licks with a cheap boss pedals, and you just sit there enjoying all the jaws dropping and tears in their face when they realise that it doesn’t take thousands of dollars to sound great!

CTuxford says:

Great overdrive pedal without the hype of ones twice the price. With a proper valve amp and good guitar, this pedal “responds like a tube amp”. So quoted from the guy who hand-built my valve amp (Forman Amplifiers)!!! As a transparent overdrive, this pedal is fantastic. Don’t forget to compensate for your gear via the EQ on your amp and the tone knob on the pedal.

Stephan Weidt says:

It’s important to mention that you obviously use a Tele with Humbuckers.

SIMON FOLKARD says:

Lovely tones!

Two-Dog James says:

Nice tones, nice playing. You, sir, are Mr Tasteful.

caseylm100 says:

for lower amounts of od this is a great pedal. its clean and bright and cAn give just a hint of od up to 70s rock. underrated pedal

3rd Coast Celtic says:

A classic!  Gotta love Boss.  Low cost, nice sound, very durable.  And many are tweekable if you look online for how to do it.

Danthehorse says:

jorge daniel franco says:

Sammy Bones says:

Good video. Thanks for posting. I am going to do a video comparing this pedal to the DS-1 distortion and see which wins.

Fantastic sounding Overdrive! No need for boutique stuff..

INUNG ADI Nugroho says:

i only have 2 overdrive pedals :
Ibanez TS9 and BOSS OD3
sometime i use TS9 but mostly i use OD3 on my pedalboard…it’s also good for booster….hehehehehe…

Alex Hollins says:

Snowy White Bird Of Paradise vibe?

Kjartan Johansen says:

why is it in mirror mode? :p

Mohd Khairul says:

What kind of pickup in there? The sound so powerful..

Robb Wing says:

Reverbs annoying

Raphael Biazotto says:

My favorite OD pedal until now. Love how it perfectly “read” what come in, keeping the main features of the sound. Can perfectly differ a single, a P90 and a HB…and sounds great with all of them.

Brando 39 says:

Sounds like Stevie Ray Vaughan

Tom Milley Music says:

this was my first OD, and i still use one 8 years later. unfortunately, i don’t actually use it in my live rig because it isn’t true bypass and affects the tone of my fuzz face. it really is a hidden gem though, great clean boost too which is what i mostly use it for. very natural sounding and smooth.

FLAMENCO961 says:

Does OD 3 have a better buffer than the super overdrive?

Bill Smith says:

Nice. Retains low end of the amp and not too much of a mid bump. Still I use GE7 EQ pedal to get rid of the mid bump altogether, so it sounds just like my amp when on. I place the GE7 kind of “humping” the OD3 so I can step on and off both pedals at the same time.

Metal Core says:

Can it fatten the tone of the distortion?

Little Holmes says:

Sounds great

Nasher188 says:

I miss my OD-3. It doesn’t have a lot of mids or gain like the TS-9 or SD1. But it’s more powerful, rich sounding. What they are NOT telling you is the OD-3 is probably the best BOOSTER pedal under $100 ! When the gain is turned all the way down, it’s squeaky clean!

Alex Banman says:

Your clean tone is good, I can get a good feel for what the pedal actually sounds like. Good video, thanks.

Edwin Declerck says:

can these pedal be compared with the Biyang X-drive or Maxon 820 ?

Constante de Planck / música fusión says:

lo que suena esa viola es increible
