Don Carr presents the PRS 509 solidbody electric guitar. The 509 boasts an amazing array of humbucking and single-coil tones, thanks to five single-coil pickups mounted in the carved figured maple top. The easy-to-use electronics package lets you switch between nine different tonal variations via a 5-way pickup selector and two mini toggles. The 509 also features a mahogany neck with rosewood fretboard, 25.25″ scale length, mother-of-pearl bird inlays, and a PRS Gen III trem.

the ugliest pickups i ever since !
In a way Don has the biggest guitar collection in the world.
old school lookin guitar and pickups but I could dig it
more like an ad than a review.
It’s nice, and I’d consider paying what I pay for a Japanese made Ibanez prestige for one, maybe.
In my experience, once you play a PRS you realize all the other mass produced guitars, at this price point, are just a collection of parts, either screwed or glued together. And the necks are perfectly cured.
Personally I miss the 513
Great playing, Don’s clean and dirty tones are sooo good!
coil taps? really? … I would’ve expected coil splits that make the neck-most and bridge-most coils active
Beautiful!
Does this add any additional tonal possibilities over the 513? Great playing as always.
nice thats awesome!
