Peavey HP2 Floyd Rose Electric Guitar Review

Peavey is re-entering the US-made solidbody electric guitar market in a big way with the release of the HP2. Harkening back to one of the company’s most popular designs, the HP2 boasts custom features that blend with modern design and traditional handcraftsmanship. Your eyes will be immediately drawn to the gorgeous figured maple top that caps a balanced basswood body, while your hands will fly up and down the fast and comfortable bird’s-eye maple neck. Add in a pair of hot, splittable humbucking pickups and a licensed Floyd Rose, and the Peavey HP2 is a performance-ready instrument that you need to experience.

Peavey must be in desperate times . Sponging off Eddie Van Halen.  Pass. EVH’s are better built anyway.

Does the trem go both ways on this model?

Eclectic Music Discussion Club says:

I’d say Peavey is more cashing in then ripping off Eddie’s success with the Wolfgang. Didn’t Peavey originally make this shape back in the early 80’s, which in turn inspired Eddie to make the Wolfgang guitars years later?

Gary Salgado says:

I have the original HP Special. How does this one differ from the original?
