Drums Of Autumn Book Review: April Book Club
Welcome to Book Club Y’all!
I have a new favorite!! Yes, “Drums Of Autumn” is my absolute favorite book of the series so far for so many reason, chief among them Jamie and Claire getting to finally settle down and build a life and a home together. It’s anything but peace though, as they navigate the new world of the colonies. There’s so much to talk about with this book so join me as I hit some of the high points from new and returning characters, what to expect in season 4 of the show, and why everyone should read this book!
Question of the Week:
In the last chapter of the book Roger reveals a letter from Frank Randell to his father Reverend Wakefield in which Frank confesses some details about a certain tombstone with Jamie’s name on it, and I’m wondering if Frank then forged this stone… is it real or fake, what do you think?
April’s Book Club Pick:
The Fiery Cross by Diana Gabaldon
The story continues right where it left off in DOA at the gathering of Scotts in the colonies. The year is 1771, and war is coming… Though Jamie Fraser doesn’t want to believe it, he must trust the word of his wife – for hers is the gift of dreadful prophecy – a time-traveler’s certain knowledge. Claire’s unique view of the future has brought him both danger and deliverance in the past; her knowledge of the oncoming revolution is a flickering torch that may light his way through the perilous years ahead – or ignite a conflagration that will leave their lives in ashes.

Drums Of Autumn by Diana Gabaldon:
The story of Claire Randall and Jamie Fraser continues in the American colonies as their daughter, Brianna, left behind in the twentieth century, makes a disturbing discovery that sends her to the ancient Scottish stone circle and a terrifying leap into the unknown. In search of her mother and the father she’s never met, she’ll risk her life to save theirs. Will an uncharted wilderness and a heartbreaking encounter strand her forever in the past or root her in the place she should be?
