I’m a p bass purist, but I realised that’s because I have no money and I only have p basses which were gifts from my father. Only have two. Ah, well but, I can really say I can’t work with hollow wooden bridge basses, I get the strings so bad entonated.

jshawsteam87 says:

That looks and sounds really good I am impressed I would definitely have one looks very comfortable to play sat down I am getting a fender bullet base short scale 83 fulton made I think short scale is quite nice to play
And great video to 🙂

Luan Carlos says:

Yes, this headstock is very weird.

BedroomBassist says:

I like the interesting design! It’s not something I’d go for, but I’m guessing it might be a love/hate thing. Some people love the look of the Musicman Bongo, whereas I can’t stand it. This Musicvox makes me think of psychedelic 60s hippy bands – like you said the Austin Powers type thing! So I think it has its place. I mean, it’s quite a niche… but… yeah. Anyway it sounds nice! Kind of reminds me a lot of my Fender Starcaster bass, which has practically exactly the same pickup & vol/tone knob configuration so that’s probably why haha. This is a long comment… Nice video Gregor! Bye!

Funkmentality says:

I can hear this guy talk forever.

keith ruddell says:

i wish more people really understood what short-scales are about. their lack of sustain is extremely musical and lends itself to busy bass lines a la McCartney. they have a much deeper fundamental, more character, and a woolly dirt quality to them. they’re frequently used in TV commercial jingles because their sound is so memorable. where they can use help is with attack, that’s why they marry so well with a pick.

Archil Bzhalava Jr. says:

I definetly need one of the Mussicwox spacefuckerz.

Pornpot Pongsiwasathit says:

If you want short scale bass sound on normal 34″ bass you just tune down 1 step and capo around 2nd fret to bring the tension of the string down and you have same kind a sound.

Jvanmax says:

its ugly but it sounds great!

Lennart H says:

eeeew that shape is so awful that it’s cool again 😀 And the sound is great!

Elze77 says:

benjamin aybar says:
